A comfortable day

Today it’s fine, the sky was blue. The air was fresh and dry, the sunshine was mild. This was clearly one of the most comfortable, beautiful day in an year! The spring flowers were shining in the sun.









I have worked at home, and it was so comfortable even late in the afternoon, after work I went out into the garden and did some garden work. :)

Oh really! I am glad you enjoyed the day.
I was wondering over that last flower. Is this a kind of an orchid? Because I have a big plant with very similar leaves and definitely the same blossoms, even the colour - and these are very fragrant. But I bought is many years ago as a kind of orchi (Dendrobium possibly).

Yes. The flower in the last photo is "Bletilla striata, known as hyacinth orchid or Chinese ground orchid, is a species of flowering plant in the orchid family Orchidaceae, native to Japan, Korea, Myanmar (Burma), and China" (by Wikipedia), a kind of orchid. "Shiran" in Japanese, literally means "purple orchid". Here in Japan quite common garden flower for it's rather easy to plant and grow.
