Pride and Prejudice
May. 29th, 2011 12:44 amToday I saw the British TV drama "Pride and Prejudice" (1995, starring Colin Firth & Jennifer Ehle) and enjoyed it very much. The story and performances are good, and above all things... the beautiful scenery of English countryside, manor houses, costumes... the whole atmosphere of old England was so wonderful.
It was a kind of off-line meeting of people I have become acquaintances via internet, about 10 people gathered. We are all Japanese still all of us love British history, or Royal Navy & the Napoleonic era, or English literature and all of us have visited UK many times so it's also very enjoyable to talk together after seeing the DVD.
And for me it's a thankful change. When I'm at home alone the empty cage make me miss my rabbit keenly, sometimes I think I don't want to come home...
