a friend on TV

katriona_sLast night... very midnight I turned on my television to see some program. It's a live broadcast from North America, a kind of talk show of a popular Japanese singer who was visiting there. I have no interest in the singer nor the program, but I have heard my friend who lives in Canada would be in its auditorium. So I turned in the program to see her face.
When the camera showed the audiences in the studio I could find her once or twice, she looked fine and enjoying the show and I was contented to see her on TV.
It's rather funny to see my friend whom I have not seen for years on TV screen... maybe I should be thankful for the modern technology?
