Scottish sound
Oct. 2nd, 2011 08:01 pmToday I went to enjoy the brassband concert of The Regimental Band Coldstream Guards from England. It's held in a certain, not bad hall in Tokyo and the audiences enjoyed not only their music but also their vivid red uniforms.

(In the hall lobby)
The music was good, very enjoyable. They played Beatles or Andrew Lloyd-Webber music, but one of the best pieces was "Amazing Grace" played with 5 pipers. I have not expected bagpipes today and their sound reminded me of some precious memories. Bagpipes played in a windy afternoon at a highland game in some small town of Scotland, where I visited on my travel many years ago... or the impressive sound of the lone piper in the night of Edinburgh Military Tattoo I have once been. Pipes, colourful kilts, flying plaids.... I'm not actually sure why those Scottish things attract me so much...
