Sharpe's Devil

Recently I've been reading Thomas Mann's "Doktor Faustus" (of course in Japanese translation!). It's not an easy book to enjoy and sometimes I feel like I need rest from this book XD
So on this weekend I was reading the simpler and more entertaining book, Bernard Cornwell"s "Sharpe's Devil" (again, of course in Japanese translation!). I usually prefer serious literature to popular novel, but I like Cornwell's novel for his writing is so skillful. Maybe his novels do not have much depth but sometimes these kind of books are quite welcome.
