When mother is out

My rabbit Mr.Uma is fed twice a day, in the morning then in the evening, around 6pm. On workday I come home usually around 7:30pm so it's my mother's task to give him evening meal - a heap of vegetables (which I prepare & put in the refrigerator in the morning). Today around 7pm I finished my work and found mother has e-mailed to my mobile. She has been out this afternoon but has been going to home before dark though her e-mail said she was eating out with her friends. This meant that there was nobody at home to feed Mr.Uma! I gave up some shopping and hurried to get home around 8pm. Of course Mr.Uma was hungry, he ate the vegetables  with rapt attention. Poor Mr.Uma! But I felt sheer happiness to watch him eating. It's good to have someone at home waiting for me :)
