The New Year Kumquat Day

The second day of the New Year. It's slightly cloudy, but again fine, warm day. Today I took kumquat fruits from the tree. This winter the harvest is quite poor, there are far less, smaller fruits than usual. Still I got 210 fruits. then took all the seeds out of the fruits. This is the most troublesome task to make my annual kumquat treat, but today my niece helped me. Then I simmered them with sugar.

I and a niece have taken the seeds from the fruits on the wooden terrace for we had nice sunshine this afternoon. Then a homeless cat appeared and approached us as if he was curious about what we were doing.
