Last night, at 10pm, my darling rabbit Mr.Uma has passed away. He had lost his usual appetite for 3 days and yesterday evening he didn't eat the food even from the syringe, and from his eyes I knew he was going. So I have held him for 2 hours, let him go peacefully in my arms. Mother was also there with me. It's good that both of us could be at his side till the end.
Of course I miss him badly, but I know this sorrow is the inseparable part of the great happiness I've had with him for years. And fortunately I have little regret about what I'd done for him, so when the current grief would pass I'll be able to remember him just with joy, I believe. Despite many unfortunate physical troubles he has been a great fighter all his life, and had enriched my life very much. I'm the happy one to have had him.
We are going to bury him in our garden on coming Saturday.

(The vet kindly sent these flowers to Mr.Uma today.)
