a trip after a long interval

This morning we had mild sunshine, but as the weather forecast has foretold it became cloudy in the afternoon, then began to rain. It's cold, miserable rain though it is obvioudly good to have some rain after too long dry days around here.
I packed my overnight bag for my short trip. Tomorrow I'm going to Kyoto, will stay there with a friend just 1 night. I hope it'll be good for me to change the mood to take Shinkansen train and stay in a hotel.
