The snow

Here in Yokohama it's rather rare to see much snow. Yes we have the "real" snow but about once for one winter season.
Tomorrow I'm going to Hokkaido, the big northern island for my long-awaited holiday, and I was looking forward to see the beautifil scenery with much snow :)

Then... can you imagine what happened here today? The sudden SNOW!
Yes, we have been warned of this sudden bad weather for few days. But, why today???


Here, snow is wet and very heavy, can be very slippery after many people walk on the same pavement so quite dangerous. Often much snow disturb the punctuality of the public transportation. We left the office earlier than usual for the safety, and the train station was very crowded with the passengers who wanted to go home earlier like us. And if thie snow would freeze during the night the traffic condition might be tough tomorrow morning.
Tomorrow I'll go to Tokyo station and from there take the bullet train going to Hokkaido, and I'll bring rather a big bag. My house is on the hillside and I need to walk down the long slope with the big bag to go to the nearest train station.

Please pray for me, that I'll be able to catch the train tomorrow morning!!!
