The high summer
Aug. 6th, 2020 11:34 pmIt’s been 75 years since the fatal day of Hiroshima. To us, August, and this mid summer climate - strong sunshine and the heat with noisy cicadas’ song - are always the reminder of war. It’s good, for summer comes every year, we’ll never forget the huge tragedy. I feel like this hot, humid air itself contains sorrow and regret on this day.
And, the terrible explosion in Lebanon reminded us of the nuclear mushroom in Hiroshima. So terrible. Anyway... this is the day for prayer. Though we human being is the creature who can never learn from the past at least we can close our eyes and pray...
