The last day of 2023
Dec. 31st, 2023 04:01 pmThe last day of 2023. It was slightly raining in the morning. Some plants showed beautiful colour in our garden.
Though the air was chilly. On our wooden verandah, a cat was sleeping in the cardboard box so we could not open the shutter just next to the box till 10am XD (We didn’t want to surprise her.)
Now there was no fruits left on the branches of the persimmon trees in our garden, still birds visit the tree to peck the remains of the fruits. A winter day!
I cleaned some shelves then wiped the shutters in the morning. Mother has been cooking for the end of the year & the new year feast all the while. In the afternoon there came some sunshine. Good.
This was a generally peaceful, happy year for me but the horrible year for many people in the world. I just hope the coming new year would bring peace for everyone…
