The canoe day
Jul. 11th, 2024 05:38 pmThe second day of my summer trip. In the morning I was just relaxed, read a book in my hotel room. The weather is good, it’s fine with some clouds. I could see nice pale blue sky from my room. Then in the afternoon I went for a short canoe trip on Kushiro river. This river runs from Lake Kussharo, its beginning part is small, runs in the woods and beautiful. My guide started from the lake shore then went into the river.

Today I didn’t paddle, just sat on the front seat and enjoy the fresh air and winds, mild sunshine coming through tree leaves. The stream is not very fast but complicated, there are many dead trees in the water and they are shaking in the stream so paddling is not easy, I tried some times but soon gave up. And, I was busy to look at many birds, fish, insects. The sound of stream and birds’ song were wonderful, I really enjoyed the time on the river, I have been on the canoe for about 2 and half hours.
Then I returned to the hotel, enjoyed hot spring. This was a relaxed, nice day. And, tomorrow I’m going to kayaking trip on the lake with the same guide. I hope the weather will be kind to me :)
