Cats know where to stay
Jul. 24th, 2024 10:26 pmAgain a sunny, hot, humid summer day :( Now we are not happy with the sunshine, it's too strong. Just some summer flowers look to be happy with it.
Our garden cats are also not happy about this summer heat. In the better seasons they mostly stay on the wooden verandah, or in the shade in the garden, both are the south side of our house. Today I worked at home, and saw that they have found the better place to stay in the north side of the house. They lay on the pavement outside of our living room for hours. There, no direct sunshine comes, and because it's a bit humid there are some moss on the stone which might be a bit cool.
They were just outside of the window and I and mother sometimes passed very near the window but they didn't move at all. maybe it's too hot and they didn't want to waste their energy. Poor boys. But it's impressive to see they found the good place to sit on. Late in the afternoon they moved, one of them walked around the house to come to the water tap outside of my room, where I keep the bucket full of water, to drink water. Clever boy.
