katriona_sMonday : Taking a day off. Exchanging the shutters outside of 5 windows of my house.
Tuesday : Went to Tokyo to meet someone for my job with my co-workers. After the meeting I took trains to go to Mtsudo, Chiba prefecture to visit a small art gallery. A small but nice exhibition of the animal drawings.
Wednesday : After work, eating out with friends.
Thursday : It was a very cold morning. The surface of the water basin in the garden was frozen, I hope the rice fish would survive in the water.
But with the sunshine the air has become warmer, the sky was beautifully blue during the daytime.
Ume and narcissus flowers are beautiful in the sun.
Today I have worked at home. And sometimes went out into the garden to talk with the gardeners who were coming to trim the trees.
After they finished their job in the middle of the afternoon our garden looked clean and more spacious than before :) It was good.
And, tomorrow I will go to the office then visit the dentist after work. On Saturday and Sunday I'll go out. This week is too eventful for my liking, I already feel tired now X(

Date: 2025-02-21 07:33 pm (UTC)I use the gardeners´ services only for taming my 3m high hornbeam fence - it is not only high but also wide. This fence I planted with my daughter many years ago - now it is my pride. It protects that side of my garden from the noise on the close road, from dust and wind and it provides shelter for many songbirds. Otherwise I do all gardening myself - pruning too. I keep the trees relatively short : apple and prune trees and even my new young nashi(I am so excited to see the fruit but last year everything was destroyed by unexpected strong frost...

But both of I and my mother are really clumsy about taking care of the plants, we have killed many for years in our garden X(. So now, sometimes I trim the tree branches by myself but once or twice a year I ask the professional gardener to take care of the trees, to keep their healthy condition.
