Sunny day on May
May. 6th, 2012 01:05 pmYesterday, I went for an outing with 3 friends. We were in the midst of successive holidays and it was fine, warm day, perfect for walking!
First we visited a Shinto shrine famous for its stone guardian rabbits (instead of dogs) and some rabbit-motif ornament which are very rare. It was not a big shrine but very old, there were many tall trees in its precinct and their shade was comfortable under the strong sunshine. We saw many people visiting there for "Miyamairi"- parents and grandparents brought the new-born babies to pray for babies' health and happiness.

(many rabbit-motif ornaments)
Near the shrine we had Japanese tea and cakes in a nice cafe in a remodeled old building in the tranquil atmosphere of a small garden. This place was wonderful.

Then we enjoyed some walking in some big park... the fresh air on the green were really comfortable.

(we enjoyed chatting and some snacks on the grass)

We ended the day with a nice dinner in a restaurant near the train station. It took almost 2 hours and I was tired when I come home, but it was a nice day...
