The annual waxing day

After the cold rain, we have the sunshine again and it's warm. And today is the national holiday. So I moved the table and chairs from the living room and waxed the wooden floor - with beeswax. It's a bit hard work but made me feel good :) Tomorrow is the ordinary workday so I haven't worked too much, left one room undone. I will do that room on the coming weekend.

There is nothing like wooden floor! And it is worth that hard work - not only it is beautiful but warm in winter and comfortable in summer. I always recollect my childhood memories when we lived in an old town house with wooden floors and my grandmy and I waxed three rooms with the substance called "Hydrovosk" - which is "hydrovax" in English. And I had a big special brush and I had to polish the floors!:-)

Your childhood memory sounds so nice. The wooden floor is nice, I love walking on it with bare feet in summer :)
