The disgusting days...

Recently it's almost horrible to see the news program. Bombing the nuclear development facilities in the country which is not at war yet? USA seems to be the common autocracy nation ruled by the stupid and vulgar(this is clearly the conspicuously difference from other autocrats at present and in the past) dictator now... But we are in no position to laugh at them, our PM and the politicians look to have lost their common sense for these years. Well, at least our PM is not destroying lives of the people in the countries except his own, should I think this is a relief ? I can't read the newspaper calmly so recently try not to read or watch any news though I know well this is not right.
Sometimes I feel like we are living in the nightmare.
Now there are not many flowers in our garden, which I can pick & put in the vases, I displayed some twigs with fruits.

Date: 2025-06-23 06:25 pm (UTC)I largely gave up on the news when I realized that I no longer had anything to say about it other than "panem et circenses" (bread and circuses) or "Da, eto Pravda" (literally, "Yes, that's the Truth" but colloquially "bullshit").

That looks almost exactly like a historic still-life painting. The only deviation I can see is that a leaf on the right is overlapping the small sculptural object there. Change the angle ever so slightly and it would be an exact match.

They are cheap and plentiful, with interesting colors and shapes. The long crooked stem particularly caught my eye as something I've seen in paintings.

I also enjoy taking pictures of dead things, and dead flowers are often very interesting. Some still life paintings use dead or dying flowers, or bare stems, or seed pods and pinecones.
