Goya jam

In our garden Goya - bitter gourd - still bear fruits, some of them have fully ripened and turned orange. This afternoon I tried to make jam with them.



The seeds in the ripened fruits are covered with vividly red jelly which is slightly sweet.









I got 2 small jars of Goya jam. The ripened Goya is generally less bitter still it keeps some bitterness, so I'm not sure this jam lasts good or not XD

WOW. Now this is really somthing I have never seen! And of course, I am very curious about the result. Well, orange jam is also slightly bitter, so I believe, this might be good!

This morning I tried this goya jam and I can’t say this was a success XD. Naturally Goya jam has the bitter taste but this one tasted too bitter X( Maybe because the fruits were not good enough. But some people might like this bitterness XD. I’m going to give one of the jars to my friend who is very good at making jam and marmalade and ask her opinion.
