earthquake!

katriona_sThis afternoon there were big earthquakes. We are accustomed to having slight earthquakes so in our office at first we just chatted. But then we noticed unusually the quake didn't cease, increased its intensity, we hide ourselves under the desks. After the first shock we turned on TV and know there were serious damages in the wide area of northern Japan. The first quake was at 14:50 then there continued aftershock even in the evening.
I stayed in the office for emergency communication with other offices till 22:00, then walked home for most of public transportation is stopped. Now, at 23:55 (Japanese local time) I'm safe at home but terrified at the shocking images on TV. They say this is the biggest earthquake in Japan during last 200 years. I'm afraid this would turn out to be the worse disaster than Great Hanshin earthquake in 1995.
