Visiting family grave, and a nice art museum

Our family grave is in Suwa city in Nagano prefecture, where is my grandfather’s hometown. It takes about 3 hours to go there by trains, I usually visit there once an year, most of time in summer. The grave is on the hill, just a narrow walking path goes up there so we can’t visit there in winter when they have much snow there. During this spring and summer, visiting other areas was - not prohibited but - NOT recommended thus I haven’t gone Suwa for months.
Recently the outing (and spend money to save the local business, I think XD ) has been rather encouraged so I decided to visit the grave (with my mother). Today I took a day off from my job, woke up very early and took an express train going to Suwa. The weather was beautiful, so as usual, the view from our family grave looking down the Lake Suwa and Suwa town was wonderful.



After visiting the grave, we took the local train to nearby town, then took a taxi to visit a small art museum in the woods.



There they exhibit the wonderful works of an illustrator who had drawn the wild animals all his life. It’s fantastic!
I’d like to report about the art museum but after the long train journey now I’m exhausted, so I’ll post about it in near future...

Anyway, it was a nice day of outing. I just hope we have NOT caught the virus on our trip X(
