festival in spring

katriona_sYesterday it was raining all day. A cold, wet, miserable day. Though I did something for the coming spring - displayed Hina dolls for the Girl's Festival day(3rd March) as I do every year.
Many Japanese parents of girls do the same in this time of year but I think not many women in my age display Hina dolls even if they own ones in their busy daily life. Some of my women friends say that they have the dolls but have left them in their parents' house with other items of their childhood. To me, making time to display these dolls and looking at them sometimes in the busy daily life means something. And this is the precious time we can display & see these beautiful dolls once a year.
