peach blossoms

katriona_sNow the Ume(Japanese apricot) trees are in bloom and their petals begin to drop.
(My neighbour's Ume tree this morning.)
And the season of Momo(peach tree) blossoms is coming. Peach trees are not as popular as Ume as garden trees here but we can buy them(branches with flowers) from florists. The Japanese Girls' Festival on 3rd march is also called "Peach flower Festival", we often arrange peach flowers with Hina dolls. Today mother bought some peach branches and put them in flower vases. They look cheerful and look very "spring"!
