humid summer

 This year we have unusually wet summer. Many rain, or cloudy days with slight rain and just a little sunny day - here in Yokohama, I mean. And here we are quite fortunate for in many other places they have had extraordinary heavy rain which caused floods or landslides. Sometimes much rain means the cool summer but this year it doesn't, without enough sunshine it's still hot, and often intolerably humid.
Today too it's very humid, but at least we had some sunshine during the daytime. Around 7pm, first we had some cool wind, then suddenly the crash of thunder. It's the biggest thunder I've heard during this 10 or 20 years I believe, then began raining, and the lightning showed us each raindrops quite clearly. At that moment one of the homeless cats happened to be on our terrace to beg us some food but the big thunder made him run away. The rain and occasional thunder had continued for a while, I couldn't catch what my mother said because of the noise of rain even in the shuttered room.
Now around 10:30pm the heavy rain seems to cease but I'm afraid that this rain might have done another damage somewhere.
This is really an odd weather, odd humid summer...
