hot spring in spring

katriona_sToday, the cloudy spring day. I took trains & bus to go to the small inn with hot spring with a friend. This small Japanese style hotel was situated among the woods at the gateway of the hilly area, not smart nor gorgeous place but famous for their wonderful hot water (I don't know how I can describe the quality of water ... but it's very mild and comfortable). Also they serve nice meal.

We stayed there for 3 hours, first enjoyed the hor spring. This is a small inn and their bathtub is not big, but we enjoyed its soft water. They have indoor bath and open-air bath, and we love the open-air one which was on the riverbank and we could hear the murmur of a stream all the while. Then we had a nice lunch in a small Japanese tatami room, not many foods but very nicely cooked.
After we left the inn we went to the nearby park on the hill, strolled around in the woods. It's on the hills and a bit cooler there so most of the cherry trees were not in bloom yet, though we saw some began to bloom, and many white magnolia flowers in full bloom. They were wonderful!

And of course we enjoyed talking all the while X) Unfortunately we have had little sunshine but the temperature was not very low. I enjoyed this spring outing very much!
