friends from Canada

Today I took a half day off in the afternoon to see my friends from Vancouver. They are Japanese but have lived in Canada for years. They are, in fact, not my friends but my best friend’s friends. When my best friend and her husband lived in Vancouver for 3 years about 10 years ago I sometimes visited them and met their local friends, enjoyed going out with them. The friends I met today are two of them - the husband and wife. The wife, Mayu has had serious physical problem in her hip since her childhood and just recently had the special surgical operation in Japan. Soon they will back to Canada but they happened to come to Yokohama to see their relatives, stay here for just a few days. So I and my best friend met them near their lodging near Yokohama train station. Mayu still cannot walk well so we had just enjoyed talking in a cafe then a restaurant. But we had so much to talk about together, it was a nice, enjoyable evening! I hope we’ll have the opportunity to see Mayu and her husband in Vancouver again...
