Butterfly

In the morning we had mild sunshine, then it has become cloudy. They say we’d have rain late in the afternoon. It’s not hot nor cold, best day for working in the garden. So I weed, cut the overgrown branches, mother has mown grass. In the back garden I found small butterflies with yellow wings on or around my mimosa tree, they seemed to have just hatched from the chrysalises.

Then I also found some chrysalises on mimosa branches, they showed the vivid yellow colour of their winds already, maybe more butterflies will appear soon.

Yes! Last winter I noticed many dried, empty chrysalises on mimosa branches, checked internet and learned that these small yellow butterflies eat mimosa leaves then hatch in October. So I have looked at mimosa carefully recently :) They are small, clean and beautiful.
