Beautiful sunshine

Sunday. Sunny.. In the morning it’s a bit windy but with bright sunshine it’s warm. Very comfortable early winter day. I looked out of the window and was impressed how beautiful the plants were in the sun.


The lastleaves of Juneberry show the beautiful combination of red and green.


The Japanese pampas grass and chrysanthemum were waving in the breeze.


Now the best time of chrysanthemum flowers is gone but they still show their beauty and their fresh scent is just wonderful on such warm, dry day.

Now it’s winter but we find 1 or 2 out-of-season white lily at the end of our garden. Mother has picked two of them and made this arrangement.


This is the photo I took yesterday.


And the one I took today. The second flower began to bloom now.

Really, in such difficult time, how fortunate I am to have this garden which gives me much joy every day…

Oooh, this is awesome! Especially the lillies, oh my, to have these in winter and in the garden!!!
My garden has been cleaned and I brought spruce twigs from the forest to cover all the plants to protect them from freezing. Without it, they won´t survive. I also use special textile sheets for gardening. But spruce twigs are the best, they enable small creatures to use them as a shelter too...

Your spruce twigs cover sounds reasonable and nice! We live in far warmer country and no need such cover for my garden trees, but can imagine yours is very effective. I know we are fortunate, even in winter we have some flowers.
